Trial Information

Research Trial For Current or Former Smokers

A Phase 3 trial to evaluate the long term safety and effectiveness of 48 weeks of 2 doses versus placebo of an inhaled once daily investigational medication delivered by a novel device in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

This is a year long trial that will require 12 office visits. Office visits may include physical examinations, EKGs, holter monitoring, vital signs, laboratory testing, spirometry and questionnaires. All sponsor required procedures will be provided at no cost.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Males and females 40 years of age and older
  • Current and former smokers

Exclusion Criteria:

  • History of Asthma
  • Myocardial Infarction within 1 year of visit 1, Hospitalization for heart failure within the past year, Unstable or life threatening cardiac arrhythmia
  • Malignancy within the last 5 years other than basal cell carcinoma
  • History of significant drug or alcohol abuse
  • Daytime oxygen use for more than 1 hour
  • Pregnant or nursing women
