The American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association is national organization dedicated to the eradication of autoimmune diseases and the alleviation of suffering and the socioeconomic impact of autoimmunity through research, education, public awareness, and patient services in an effective, ethical, and efficient manner. Approximately 50 million Americans suffer from over 100 autoimmune diseases, and 75 percent of those affected are women. Autoimmunity is the result of a misdirected immune system which mistakenly attacks one's own body, causing diseases such as lupus, scleroderma, Graves' disease, ITP, autoimmune hepatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile diabetes, autoimmune thyroid disease, and Crohn's disease.

The Black AIDS Institute is a national HIV/AIDS public policy, training, and mobilization center in the United States focused exclusively on Black people. The Institute's mission is to stop the AIDS pandemic in Black Communities by engaging and mobilizing Black institutions and individuals in efforts to confront HIV. The Institute develops and interprets public and private sector HIV policies, conducts trainings, offers technical assistance, disseminates information and provides advocacy from a uniquely and unapologetically Black point of view. The Hepatitis Foundation International (HFI) is a voluntary health organization focusing on increasing support for research to find effective treatments and cures for viral hepatitis while promoting liver wellness and the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviors to prevent hepatitis and substance abuse. HFI's Foundation for Decision Making Train the Trainer programs include effective communication techniques for skills building, videos and print materials for healthcare professionals, teachers, counselors, and patients. Training has been conducted for health departments, Centers for Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment, for drug rehabilitation counselors, clinical, occupational and school nurses, physician's assistants and mental health professionals, and other private and public organzations.

Women's Heart Foundation, a 501c3 and the only non-government organization that implements heart disease prevention projects, is a coalition of executive nurses, civic leaders, community health directors, hospitals, women's heart centers, schools and partners responding to the health crisis of women's heart disease. By developing healthy lifestyle programs for schools, the WHF has taken action against the growing epidemic of childhood diabetes. By hosting continuing medical education, WHF supports The Gender Care Initiative. Founded 1989. Incorporated June 11, 1992.
