There is still time to enter the U.S. Clinical Researcher of the Year competition, this year thematically focused on using resources more effectively without compromising patient safety or quality of data.

The competition welcomes participants from the following areas of research:
  • Study Nurse/Clinical Research Coordinator
  • Clinical Research Associates (with varying levels of experience)
  • Project Manager working within a CRO environment
  • Study Leader working within a pharma/sponsor environment
  • Clinical Trial Teams

Entries are building fast with engagement from a broad cross-section of CRO and pharma competitors including: PRA, PPD, Parexel, Chiltern, INC Research, Shire Pharmaceuticals, GSK, Sanofi, Benchmark Research, Endo Pharmaceuticals, MSD, Abbott and Allergan.

Professionals within the clinical research fraternity are able to compete on a level playing field in this competition, working through a series of competency-based exercises that start with a multiple-choice questionnaire based on ICH/GCP and end with a case-study devised to explore different approaches to risk-based or targeted monitoring.

Organized by media company Pharmatimes, the competition will be independently judged by a high level executive steering committee drawn from senior pharma clinical leaders within AZ, GSK, MSD, Sanofi, Shire, Endo Pharma, Allergan, Alcon and Stiefel.

Finals day and presentation of the U.S. Clinical Researcher of the Year awards will take place on November 8, 2012, and will be hosted by competition sponsors, SAS, at their executive briefing center in Cary, N.C.

Closing date for entry to the competition is September 7. For more information or to enter the competition, visit www.usclinicalresearcher.com.
