Summary: Current and Former Smokers Wanted

The purpose of this trial is to compare multiple infusions of CACZ885B2204 to placebo. Patients will be optimized on current approved medications for the treatment of chronic obstructive lung disease prior to initiation of trial drug. Study drug is delivered via an intravenous infusion. 13 infusions will occur over the course of 45 weeks. This trial requires 18 visits to the clinic.

Inclusion criteria:

• Males and Females ages 40-75
• Current or former smokers are eligible
