Trial Information
Summary: Moderate to severe cramping and pelvic pain related to endometriosis?
If endometriosis-related pelvic pain is a regular part of your
life and NOT related to your period, you may be eligible to
participate in a clinical study at The Clinical Research
Center.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- Women between the ages of 18 and 45
- Surgically sterilized (patient or partner), willing to use
condoms throughout the study, or otherwise not at risk for
pregnancy
- Diagnosis of endometriosis within the past 5 years
- Moderate or severe nonmenstrual pelvic pain
- Pre-menopausal
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Regular (24-35 day) menstrual cycles for at least 2
months
Patient Exclusion Criteria
- Undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Any contraindication to the use of hormonal therapy
- GNRH analog therapy within 5 months
- Use of estrogens and/or progestins within 2 months
- Pain symptoms unrelated to endometriosis
- Any contraindications to the use of vaginal delivery
systems
