Jasper Summit Research, LLC located in Jasper, Alabama (one hour away from Birmingham airport) is a thriving multi-therapeutic dedicated research site proficient in Phase II, III, & IV clinical trials with a multitude of adult participants, under direct supervision of Jan H. Westerman, MD.

Our mission to provide comprehensive clinical research services to advance the science of medicine and conduct trials according to Good Clinical Practices, and to deliver results exceeding our customer's expectations. In doing, so we maintain the highest ethical standards. Our participation in clinical trials originally started in 1997 under the name of “Pulmonary & Sleep Associates of Jasper, P.C.” which is Dr. Westerman private practice.  Later in 2004, “Jasper Summit Research, LLC” emerge and has been involved in outpatient clinical trials ever since specializing in pulmonary, respiratory & sleep medicines.

Investigator experience

Principle Investigator:

Jan H. Westerman, MD (Board Certified Internal Medicine, Pulmonary/Respiratory Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care Medicine): Graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1985. He completed his residency at USAF Medical Center Keesler in 1988 and fellowship at the University of North Caroline Hospital in 1991. Dr.Jan Westerman has 27 years of research experience.

Sub-Investigators:

Jeremy Ty Blackwell, MD (Board Certified Family Practice) is a family medicine specialist that received his medical degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2005

Aleisha Dunagan, CRNP graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012.
