Quality of Life Medical & Research Center (QLMRC) is a
clinical trial site affiliated with a multi-specialty private
practice. QLMRC is one of the newest research facilities in Tucson,
Arizona founded in 2001.Yet has repeatedly been a top recruiter in
the clinical trials in which it has participated.
Our mission is simple, provide the best quality care and service
to both our patients and the companies with which we partner. With
the ultimate goal of developing a better "quality of
life" for all individuals.

Facility Description
Quality of Life Medical & Research Center is an outpatient
facility. We have a lab drawing station and affiliation with a
local laboratory, EKG, numerous exam rooms, private offices,
designated monitor room with internet and high capacity copier,
locked drug storage, -20° and -70° freezer available, networked
computer system, and data base with thousands of potential subjects
interested in clinical trials.

Investigator Experience
Quality of Life Medical & Research Center physician
investigators have each practiced in the Tucson area for over 20
years. The lead principle investigator and medical director has
over six years of experience conducting clinical trials and has
been P.I. for 50+ studies.
John W. McGettigan, Jr., M.D. graduated from
Emory University School of Medicine and has practiced in Tucson
since 1981. He has practiced in Emergency Medicine/Occupational
Medicine/General Practice over those years and has a special
interest in male and female sexual health and related topics as
well as overseeing a rehabilitation department in his clinic.
Sandra Layman, ANP graduated from Emory School
of Nursing and has special training and interest in otolaryngology
and psychiatry.
Daniel T. Mihalyi, M.D. graduated from
Hahnemann University of Medicine, PA. He retired from his private
practice in Internal medicine of 22 years located in Tucson, AZ. He
currently manages an Anti-aging practice and has been a
sub-investigator and principal investigator for 2 years.
Michelle Meyer, M.D. graduated from University
of Arizona College of Medicine. She manages a Family Practice and
has been a sub-investigator and principal investigator for 8
months.

Patient Demographics
Our central location in Tucson allows us to draw from a
population of over 1 million. Tucson and surrounding communities
are attractive to the senior citizens because of our year round
warm climate. Tucson is also home to the University of Arizona and
Pima Community College and Davis Monthan Air Force Base.
We have a diverse ethnic and economic population mix from which
to draw our subjects. The majority of our patient population are
Caucasian, Hispanic and Native American Indian.

Other Information
We utilize central IRB's for almost all of our clinical
trials and can turn around regulatory documents is less than 48
hours if needed.
