CAPRI was established in 1998, under the leadership of its medical director and principal investigator Robert M. Davidson MD. Dr. Davidson has more than 30 years of extensive experience in the field of cardiology and internal medicine. He has also been involved in research projects for over 30 years, including multi-center clinical trials, investigator initiated clinical trials, and basic research. We also utilize the expertise of our other member physicians, who have additional expertise in electrophysiology, nephrology, and other areas of medicine, in addition to cardiology.

Our site is committed to conducting quality clinical research, ensuring timely recruitment, appropriate patient inclusion, patient safety, as well as compliance with GCP-ICH guidelines and state laws. Our research subjects are recruited from the practice databases of Dr. Davidson and our other member physicians, and from the surrounding community.

CAPRI is a private dedicated clinical research site specializing in conducting Phase II, III, and IV trials in Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Heart Failure, and Arrhythmias. CAPRI is located in Los Angeles, Ca., adjacent to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We are close to the two main Los Angeles freeways (405 and 110 freeways) and only 20 minutes away from LAX airport. There is a spacious waiting room and 5 exam rooms. We provide validated parking and there is public transportation available. There is space dedicated to clinical research to insure the privacy of health information, protection of confidentiality for patients, storage of supplies, records, and drugs. Our monitors will have a private office to work in with access to telephone, fax, copier, and the internet. Pick-ups by Fed-Ex, DHL, and UPS are done on a daily basis. Other facilities include:

Dr. Davidson is a board certified cardiologist and internist who been in practice in the Los Angeles area for over thirty years. He has served as Clinical Chief of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and American College of Physicians. He has special expertise in heart failure, coronary artery disease, and echocardiography.
