Halfpenny Technologies, Janssen Diagnostics ink agreement
Halfpenny Technologies, a provider of a cloud-based, secure, scalable, vendor-neutral clinical data exchange platform, has entered into an agreement with Janssen Diagnostics to supplement the clinical data needs of Janssen’s AVIGA EHR. The AVIGA electronic health record is designed to support the data and federal reporting needs of providers specializing in HIV/AIDS healthcare.
Halfpenny Technologies has collaborations or strategic partnerships with numerous EHR companies; this agreement, utilizing Halfpenny’s intelligent integration technology hub and its core data normalization competencies, supplements the wide range of services AVIGA provides its clients.
“Accessing all manners of clinical data in a timely and standardized manner and within the established workflow of the healthcare provider allows for more timely and effective clinical support, essential to delivering better patient care,” said Tim Kowalski, Halfpenny Technologies president and CEO. “By leveraging our single interface, AVIGA supported HIV and AIDS treatment centers funded by the Ryan White CARE Act will be better served and relieved of cumbersome reporting requirements.”
“This is another significant step in the expansion of Halfpenny’s Interoperability Technology Framework Hub (ITF-Hub),” said Kowalski. “Interoperability is the cornerstone of an integrated, effective and efficient healthcare system and to that effect Halfpenny Technologies supports the data needs of multiple participants in the healthcare continuum.” Halfpenny Technologies will be extracting relevant clinical data from EHRs to enhance the data within the AVIGA system.
