CareSouth's expands in Florida, creates jobs in Georgia
CareSouth Health System, a provider of non-acute care, has expanded its health care services throughout Florida with the purchase of key assets of Alliance Care, a provider of home health care, private duty and physician house call services.
The expansion will result in more jobs created in Augusta, Georgia, where CareSouth's corporate offices are located. CareSouth currently employs almost 100 full-time corporate staff and more than 900 employees in agencies across seven states. As a result of the expansion, positions have been added in upper level management, information technology, graphic arts, clinical services, human resources and other ancillary positions within the Augusta facility. The company anticipates hiring additional people as the integration of the new business is completed.
"Our solid financial position allows us to take an aggressive approach to growth through development, partnerships and acquisitions," said Rick Griffin, president and CEO of CareSouth. "Naturally, when we grow our markets across the country, our support services will also grow, meaning more jobs here in the Augusta community."
CareSouth will retain most of the former Alliance Care employees.
