Pentalogy of Cantrell is a rare congenital anomaly that affects the development of the chest and abdominal wall. It is characterized by a combination of five defects including a midline defect in the sternum, a defect in the diaphragm, a defect in the pericardium, a defect in the abdominal muscles, and a defect in the lower sternum. The severity of the condition varies, and surgical intervention is often required for survival.
