Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Als

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This leads to muscle weakness, stiffness, and eventually paralysis, making it difficult for individuals with ALS to move, speak, swallow, and breathe. There is currently no cure for ALS, but treatments such as medication, therapy, and assistive devices can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
